Bespoke Metal Doors for a Castle in Switzerland

Sherriff Stained Glass were tasked with designing and manufacturing two bespoke metal doors for a client in St Gallen, Switzerland.

Our first visit to Schloss Hauptwil was to measure and template the openings for the doors. Back in our workshops we cut, processed and welded each section of metal for the doors prior to finishing the doors in 9005 satin black powder coat. We hand made the hinges, locks and handles for these doors to ensure to highest quality was achieved. At the same time as working on the metal doors our stained glass workshop got to making the obscure leaded lights which will be glazed within the doors once fitted in Switzerland.

Second visit to Schloss Hauptwil saw our fitting team carry out the fitting of each door to the openings with the leaded lights. The goal of the bespoke doors were achieve to manufacture and fit two hand made doors to the highest quality.
